I would definitely return to Muse again for both Paint your pet night and regular painting classes. My mom and I had so much fun drinking wine chatting and painting our pets together. More like a modern loft apartment vibe with a comfy, laid back, low-key bar and central lobby area. The canvas, paint and brushes are all supplied by Muse and they even clean everything so you don't have to. Skip the line at the famous The Holy Donut shop. Some people printed a copy I had one on my iPhone but I was a little nervous about getting paint on my phone because I was constantly referring to the photo. Bring this photo with you to the event to help mix the colors and use as a reference for mixing paints and shading. Before attending we submitted a photo of which we would use as our Muse to paint. Though the set up of the class is that everyone paints the same piece and the instructor demonstrates how to paint that particular piece, they always encourage participants to express themselves in their paintings, to be unique, original, and to just relax and have fun! If you're not interested in painting what the instructor is painting, you can paint whatever you want! The atmosphere is laid back and very happy they play up-beat music and serve yummy refreshments. Pineland Farms If you have a farm loving child, this could be a great option As birthday parties go, this is a pretty affordable option too and I do believe they have an indoor classroom space that you are able to decorate for your party. The teachers are so sweet, friendly, helpful, and supportive. Muse Paintbar- Portland Leave the party planning to the artists at Muse with fun add-on options. The price is right (usually $35) and the experience is so much fun. I've now attended two paint nights at Muse and I can't say enough about what a great time and a great value it is! I am by no means a visual artist (seriously, not even a little), but this is a such a fun and simple way to tap into your creative side and I've just loved the pieces I've come home with.
